H. B. Wilkinson Title Company, Inc. (HBW), a Galena-based title insurance and real estate information services provider, has opened a new office in Rock Island and named Theresa (Terrie) Miller manager of the new location, it was announced by Daniel D. Mennenoh, president of HBW. The new office located in the Plaza Building at 1703 Second Avenue will provide a full range of title insurance services including abstracts of title, commercial and construction escrow services, sale and refinance closing services and real estate information services throughout the Quad Cities area. The new office facility contains over 1,750 square feet of ground floor space with two closing rooms and is located near the Rock Island County Courthouse in the District.
Ms. Miller, who joined H. B. Wilkinson Title Company in 1989 as a searcher and closing officer, was later promoted to the position of title examiner and most recently was the county manager in the Carroll County office located in Mt. Carroll, IL. Her responsibilities will include handling the daily operations of the office and assisting in business development in the Quad Cities area.
In a related announcement, Mr. Mennenoh reported that Eric Long has joined the company in the Rock Island office. Mr. Long, a recent graduate of the University of Notre Dame, will be responsible for the coordination of escrow closings with Realtors®, attorneys, builders and lenders and will assist in the title search and examination area.
